This policy explains how Artesanato IA (legal business name: Maria Lucia Menezes Leite), available at artesaoia.com.br, handles the data of people who use the service over WhatsApp.

What the service does

You send a photo of a handmade piece over WhatsApp. Our system analyzes the image using an AI model and replies, in the same conversation, with Instagram caption suggestions.

What data we collect

The WhatsApp phone number used to send the message, needed to reply in the right conversation.
The photos you send of your handmade pieces.
Technical message metadata: message ID and time received, used only to avoid processing the same photo twice.

We do not ask for your full name, email, address, payment details, or any information beyond what's needed to generate the caption.

How we use this data

The photo is sent to the Google Gemini API, which analyzes the image and generates the caption text. The phone number is used exclusively to deliver the reply back into the WhatsApp conversation.

Who we share it with

Google (Gemini API) — receives the image to generate the caption.
Meta / WhatsApp Cloud API — the messaging channel the conversation runs on.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Storage and retention

Photos and the processing status of each message are stored on our own server, with an automated, access-restricted daily backup kept for 30 days. This storage exists to avoid duplicate replies if WhatsApp resends the same notification, and for technical troubleshooting.

You can request deletion of your photos and data at any time — see "Your rights" below.

Security

Communication between your WhatsApp and our server is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Access to the server and backups is restricted to credentials used exclusively by the team responsible for the service.

Your rights

You can, at any time:

Request access to the photos and data we hold about you;
Request correction of inaccurate data;
Request deletion of your photos and data;
Withdraw consent and stop using the service, with no penalty.

Use by minors

Artesanato IA is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children or teenagers.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version.
